Why was this program created?
This program was created by an orthopedic physical therapist who specializes in working with aging adults to improve their strength, balance and mobility. After working with numerous women with osteoporosis, I realized there was a lack of understanding about the condition.
Too many of these women received their diagnosis from a bone density scan and were told to go on a certain medication-- and that was that! There was NO discussion of why it occurred, WHY bone density scans don't tell the whole story, potential side effects of medications... and on top of all that, my patients were also becoming fearful of exercising.
Their experiences inspired me to create a comprehensive program that delves into the basics of osteoporosis, current research conclusions, and includes an ENTIRE video exercise library created specifically for people with osteoporosis
